You are invited to join the Door County Homebuilders Association for the May General Membership meeting!

Guest Speaker: Lauren Baumann, School-Based Coach, Northeast Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship (NEWYA)

As a part of the Northeast Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship Program, Lauren Baumann has a passion for connecting students, schools, and local businesses through meaningful career exploration activities. She joined the NEWYA team in the winter of 2022 and previously served as the YA Coach for Door County schools through the Door County Economic Development Corporation as part of the Ahnapee Youth Apprenticeship Consortium.

Lauren supports students across Gibraltar, Southern Door, Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay, and Washington Island, working closely with them to explore career interests, develop professional skills, and achieve their future goals. With a hands-on and student-centered approach, she meets with students regularly, guiding them through opportunities within the Youth Apprenticeship Program and helping them build confidence as they transition into the workforce.

In addition to her work with students, Lauren actively partners with local businesses to promote and expand Youth Apprenticeship opportunities. She is committed to strengthening connections between education and industry, enabling employers to invest directly in developing the next generation of talent while addressing local workforce needs.

Who: DCHBA members and guests. If you cannot attend, please send someone from your company.  Feel free to invite non-members to come along.  If you currently have apprentices or are interested in how to tap ito this creat resource, you are encouraged to attend.

Cost:
Primary DCHBA member or representative, free.  Additional member guests and non-members for dinner, $20 each. Additional guests and non-members for the meeting only, no-charge.

Payment for dinner: Cash or checks made payable to Door County Home Builders Association.
