Every year, the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) recognizes outstanding individuals within its membership whose ideas, energy, and involvement allow the organization to be recognized as one of the top trade associations in the state.

Members of the WBA gathered Friday, January 31, 2025, in Rivers Falls, WI where they installed its new slate of officers and presented the Rising Star Award along with other awards, including Builder of the Year, Hall of Fame, and Associate of the Year. Candidates for the awards were nominated by their local builders’ association and voted on by the WBA awards committee.

Tim Duquaine, president and owner of Door Landscape & Nursery located in Egg Harbor, received the 2025 Rising Star Award that honors an outstanding member(s) who has/have actively worked toward the betterment of the housing industry by exceeding expectations over the last twelve months and is/are considered to be rising within the association.

“The WBA works hard for builders and associate members every day,” said Duquaine. “It is an honor to represent DCHBA and the Door County home construction industry at the state level.”

Duquaine is a current Associate Board Director and past president of the Door County Home Builders Association (DCHBA), serves as the current state Associate Director representing DCHBA on the WBA Board, and most recently was appointed as the WBA Finance Committee Chair.

He also currently serves as the chair of the Door County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC).
